I would like to convey my sincere sympathy to victims and their family of the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011.
On 11th March, 2011, there was an powerful earthquake over our imagines in Tohoku, Japan. The earthquake occurred massive damage to people and property by not only shaking but also tsunami and destroyed atomic plants. Furthermore, this earthquake raised many problems such as government and electric power company response, acknowledgement of radioactivity, tsunami and lifestyle depending on electric power.
At the time of earthquake, I felt a long time shake at a seismic intensity of 3-lower in the building in Osaka which is approximately 375 miles far from epicentre area. When I heard the earthquake happened in the Tohoku area, I could not imagine their damage.
Even now, there are small earthquakes at frequent intervals, and many people probably scare it since they may have a huge earthquake again. Victims and companies will need a long time to recover from their seismic damage. I believe many people remember problems related the earthquake and support victims to cover a long period.

Cass ~Celebrating International Women's day~
Each year around the world, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Thousands of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. ( http://www.internationalwomensday.com/ ).
I attended the Women in Business Leadership seminar ( http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/pages/mba-leadership-series ) held by Cass business school just for future reference. There were three panelists who are active and successful on their career. Their talking was interesting and inspired me, in particular, because their way of thinking such as risk taking, control minds, work life balance were practical. They all look have strong confidence rather than males...I am not sure whether it is necessary or not though..
To be honest, when I lived in Japan, I could not agree with someone who argue the advances in the status of women, because I felt such women looks like men, and a few people would have an intention about discrimination and gender salary gap since most women eager not to work at the same position of men which has many responsibilities. In addition, the meaning of advance is likely to lose females consideration and humility. Certainly, I understand and appreciate the women's activists have created the modern society which we can join almost everything and everywhere equally in Japan, whereas I think unnecessary to access all, such as traditional place, sumo ring where is prohibited for women to step. However, I recognised there are obvious discrimination in some countries and by religious reasons. Therefore, we should exam well regarding discrimination not only gender but also ages, background, and scholarship and should not forget responsibilities to contribute the society, and provide surface solution. The most important things are that everyone respect and appreciate each other over gender, ages, occupation, and literacy. That's all.

The Pros and Cons
In recent days, I concentrated to write an essay and a research plan. Many people probably may know that we should decide topic and structure for it, when we consider about such writings. Main structure is four, advantages and disadvantages, problems and solutions, compare and contrast evidences, or present and justify an opinion. Generally, when I live in Japan, we tend to avoid discussing about something. However, we cannot study without discussing while studying master degree in the UK. Fundamentally, I suppose the British people tend to prefer discussing, whereas making decision need times due to it though... The Economist advertised at the tube station, and their concept is the Pros and Cons of social media. I laughed since I struggled to consider about literature reviews. I may have a nightmare about an essay......

London Business School
London Business School is known as the top class of UK Business class ( http://www.london.edu/ ). In 2012, LBS was ranked at four in the world by Financial Times, previous ranking was second ( http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/global-mba-rankings-2012 ). Those kind of ranking is likely to be different by the companies due to assessment process. Most UK business school set one year for full-time MBA course, LBS set two years as well as the USA ones. Of course, tuition fee is also the top ranking though.. Therefore, we should consider LBS is different from other UK business school.
Today, I joined the information session, because I would like to know the difference from other business school by myself. Most participants looks matured and they have already work in London. (This session was held in Campus, so latter fact is no doubt.) Some participants who I talked came from baks. Firstly, the professor presented a short session, after that, we had sessions with alumni or current students having confidences. The interesting thing was most students changed their career. I am wondering their essay for application to enter the school, but some of students may consider to have a good opportunity to change career. Certainly, to study management lead to working at other industries, because almost of industry is necessary for managerial person. In relation to this matter, I have another opinion, but I do not mention here. Anyway, I could have a really useful time, and it is no doubt LBS is high qualified business school in the UK. Unfortunately, wines which they provided at the session was not my taste...Chile Merlot and ... Hopefully, the wine sense is high qualities as well as the school..not necessary for expensive ones.

Spring has come!
When I see a cherry blossom, I feel Spring came. The cherry blossom is the Japanese national tree, but we can enjoy it in London as well. High school girls was walking with chatting what the cherry blossom bring Spring. I felt amused when I heard it, because their sense is the same with most Japanese feeling. The cherry blossom open up without leaves, so when the tree full bloom, it is covered with pink colour petal. That is a beautiful scene.
At the same time, we can see Daffodil all over the place which is the floral emblem of Wales. The rose is England one, the thistle is Scotland one, and shamrock is Northern Ireland one.
